Fitter / Turner - Contract Role

We are seeking a skilled Fitter / Turner with 2-4 years of experience to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and maintaining precision mechanical components and equipment within our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. While this role is primarily hands-on, a B.Com degree is required, indicating a need for strong analytical and organizational skills to support inventory management, documentation, and cost-tracking related to spare parts and maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Precisely machine metal parts using lathes, milling machines, and other equipment according to specifications and blueprints.

Assemble, install, and maintain mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.

Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery to ensure optimal performance.

Diagnose and repair mechanical issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inventory of spare parts.

Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.

Assist with cost analysis and budgeting for maintenance and spare parts procurement.
