Junior Medical Biller / Coder - Facility Management Services

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Medical Biller / Coder to join our team in Guwahati. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate billing and coding processes within our facility management operations, particularly for healthcare-related services. The ideal candidate will have a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree and 0-2 years of experience in a similar role. You will be responsible for processing medical claims, assigning appropriate codes, and maintaining billing records to ensure timely reimbursement and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze patient demographic and insurance information for accuracy.
- Assign appropriate medical codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) to diagnoses and procedures based on medical documentation.
- Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper.
- Follow up on outstanding claims, identify reasons for rejection or denial, and take corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and ledgers.
- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance adjusters to resolve billing issues.
- Stay updated with changes in medical coding and billing regulations.
- Assist in generating billing reports and analyzing financial data related to claims.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare billing and privacy regulations (e.g., HIPAA, if applicable to the specific services).
