Transport Management for M.Tech Graduates

Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Transport Management professional with an M.Tech degree and 3-5 years of experience to oversee and optimize all aspects of our transportation logistics. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement of materials, equipment, and finished goods to and from our manufacturing facilities and project sites in Nagpur.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive transport strategies aligned with L&T's Heavy Engineering operational goals.
• Manage and coordinate a fleet of vehicles, including scheduling, routing, and maintenance to ensure optimal utilization and compliance with safety regulations.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and vendors to secure competitive rates and service levels.
• Monitor and analyze transportation costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
• Ensure timely and secure delivery of all shipments, resolving any logistical challenges or delays proactively.
• Utilize transport management software and other technologies to track shipments, manage inventory, and generate performance reports.
• Collaborate with internal departments (procurement, production, project management) to forecast transportation needs and ensure smooth supply chain operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all transportation activities, including shipping documents, invoices, and compliance records.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory changes, and technological advancements in transport management.
