Captain / Master Mariner - Ports & Shipping Sector (2-3 Yrs)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Captain / Master Mariner with 2-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will possess a BCA degree and demonstrate a strong understanding of maritime operations and a keen eye for technological integration in port management. This role involves overseeing vessel operations, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to the efficient functioning of our port facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the safe and efficient navigation and operation of vessels within port limits.
- Ensure compliance with all national and international maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.
- Coordinate with port authorities, pilots, tugs, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth vessel movement and berthing.
- Supervise and manage ship's crew, assigning duties and ensuring professional conduct.
- Conduct regular inspections of vessels and port facilities to identify and rectify potential hazards.
- Utilize technology and data analysis (leveraging BCA knowledge) to optimize port operations, cargo handling, and vessel turnaround times.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and reports related to vessel activities, safety incidents, and operational performance.
- Participate in emergency response planning and execution as required.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of operational procedures and safety management systems.
