Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and experienced Cargo Engineer with 3-4 years of experience to join our corporate team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing and managing the logistics and transportation of raw materials, finished goods, and other essential cargo within the food processing supply chain. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and efficient cargo handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. 

Manage relationships with logistics providers, carriers, and freight forwarders. 

Optimize cargo loading, unloading, and storage processes to minimize damage and maximize space utilization. 

Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards within the food industry. 

Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and procurement teams to meet supply chain demands. 

Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving measures. 

Prepare reports on cargo operations, performance metrics, and budget adherence.
