Chief Accountant - E-Learning / EdTech

We are seeking a meticulous and results-oriented Chief Accountant with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic E-Learning/EdTech company based in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree (M.A.) in Accounting or a related field and have a strong understanding of financial principles and practices within the Indian context. This role involves overseeing accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and contributing to the company's financial health.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with Indian accounting standards (Ind AS).
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of GST, TDS, and other relevant tax returns.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Implement and improve accounting policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
