Claims Manager (3-5 Yrs) | Mangalore

Role Summary: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Claims Manager with 3-5 years of experience and a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree to join our team in Mangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing all types of claims related to port operations, shipping, and logistics, ensuring timely and accurate resolution while minimizing financial exposure. This role requires strong analytical skills, a good understanding of maritime regulations, and proficiency in claims management software.

Key Responsibilities:

Investigate, analyze, and evaluate the validity of incoming claims related to cargo damage, loss, demurrage, and other shipping-related incidents.

Liaise with internal departments, clients, insurers, surveyors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information for claim processing.

Prepare detailed reports, claim summaries, and settlement proposals for management review and approval.

Negotiate settlements with claimants and their representatives within authorized limits.

Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime laws, insurance policies, and company procedures.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all claims in the company's claims management system.

Identify trends and patterns in claims data to recommend process improvements and risk mitigation strategies.

Utilize data analysis skills (leveraging MCA background) to interpret claim data and generate insights.
