Job Description

Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collection Executive / Officer with 3-5 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and collecting outstanding payments from clients within the Ports & Shipping industry. This role requires a unique blend of analytical skills, negotiation abilities, and a strong understanding of financial processes, complemented by a Master's degree in Design (M.Des) which will be leveraged for innovative problem-solving and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively manage and reduce accounts receivable aging by following up on overdue invoices through various communication channels (phone, email, letters).
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to maximize recovery rates while maintaining strong client relationships.
- Reconcile client accounts, identify discrepancies, and resolve payment issues promptly.
- Prepare and present regular reports on collection status, aging analysis, and key performance indicators to management.
- Collaborate with the sales and finance teams to ensure accurate billing and smooth payment processes.
- Utilize analytical skills, enhanced by your M.Des background, to identify trends in payment behavior and propose data-driven solutions for collection challenges.
- Design and refine collection workflows and documentation using your understanding of user experience and process design to improve efficiency.
- Negotiate payment plans and settlements with clients, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all collection activities and client interactions.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to debt collection.
