Commodity Manager - Full-Time Role

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commodity Manager with 1-2 years of experience and a Diploma to join our team in Chandigarh. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing the procurement of commodities essential to our port and shipping operations. You will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery of materials.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in the development and execution of commodity sourcing strategies.
* Identify potential suppliers and conduct market research to ensure competitive pricing.
* Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers, ensuring favorable agreements.
* Monitor commodity markets for price trends and supply chain risks.
* Manage inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams for timely procurement.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement regulations.
* Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and foster new partnerships.
* Support the Commodity Manager in analyzing spending patterns and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
