Cost Accountant (3-5 Yrs Experience)

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team in Guwahati. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost accounting principles and be proficient in using accounting software. This role is crucial for analyzing production costs, optimizing resource allocation, and contributing to the financial health of our food processing operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain cost accounting systems and methodologies for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
- Analyze production variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
- Prepare detailed cost reports, including standard cost, actual cost, and variance analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, with a focus on cost drivers and efficiencies.
- Monitor inventory valuation and ensure accuracy in cost data.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to understand cost implications of operational decisions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary cost data and documentation.
- Utilize BCA knowledge to interpret data and present financial insights effectively.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
