Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Executive to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees within the petrochemical and plastics division. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll regulations, compliance, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The candidate will manage end-to-end payroll operations, ensuring adherence to company policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Process monthly payroll accurately and efficiently for all employees, ensuring compliance with Indian labor laws and company policies.
- Manage employee data, including new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation, ensuring data integrity within the payroll system.
- Calculate and process statutory deductions, such as Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance (ESI), Professional Tax (PT), and Income Tax (TDS).
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant government authorities on time.
- Reconcile payroll data with general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
- Handle employee queries related to payroll, benefits, and statutory deductions in a professional and timely manner.
- Stay updated with changes in payroll legislation and ensure the payroll system and processes are updated accordingly.
- Coordinate with HR and finance departments to ensure seamless payroll operations.
- Assist in payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely disbursement of salaries and other payments.
