Shipping & Maritime - Other - Internship Role

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a B.Tech/B.E. degree and 3-5 years of experience to join our team in Bangalore. This role is crucial for optimizing our logistics and supply chain operations, specifically focusing on the maritime aspects of our business. You will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods, managing relationships with shipping partners, and contributing to strategic improvements in our maritime operations. Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze and improve existing maritime logistics processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and maintain relationships with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other maritime service providers.
- Oversee the documentation and compliance requirements for international and domestic shipments.
- Monitor shipment progress, identify potential delays, and implement proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, sales, operations) to ensure seamless integration of shipping activities.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and strategies to enhance maritime operations.
- Prepare reports on shipping performance, costs, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Ensure adherence to all relevant safety, security, and environmental regulations in maritime transport.
- Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies for our supply chain.
