System Security Engineer (0-1 Yrs Experience)

Role Summary:
MRPL is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented System Security Engineer with 0-1 years of experience to join our IT security team in Mangalore. This entry-level position is ideal for recent B.Sc graduates looking to build a career in cybersecurity within the petrochemical industry. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining and enhancing the security posture of our IT and OT systems, protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring network and system security logs for suspicious activities.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and antivirus software.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and assist in patching and remediation efforts.
- Help in developing and enforcing security policies and procedures.
- Contribute to security awareness training for employees.
- Perform basic security incident response activities under supervision.
- Document security configurations, procedures, and incidents.
- Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices.
