Able Seaman (AB) (2-4 Yrs Experience)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Able Seaman (AB) with a BCA qualification to join our dynamic team in Thiruvananthapuram. The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience and a strong understanding of maritime operations, coupled with analytical skills honed through their computer applications background. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our maritime logistics within the furniture and furnishing supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

Execute assigned deck duties and responsibilities under the direction of officers.

Participate in cargo operations, including loading, unloading, and securing of furniture and furnishing materials.

Maintain and operate deck equipment and machinery as required.

Conduct routine checks and maintenance of the vessel's deck areas.

Adhere to all safety regulations, emergency procedures, and environmental policies.

Assist in navigational watches as directed.

Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills developed through BCA to identify and report any operational discrepancies or issues.

Contribute to efficient inventory management and tracking of goods through basic data handling.
