Buyer / Senior Buyer (3-4 Yrs) | Ludhiana

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer / Senior Buyer with 3-4 years of experience, ideally with an M.Tech degree, to join our procurement team in Ludhiana. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, machinery, and services essential for our pulp and paper operations. This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Identify potential suppliers for raw materials (pulp, chemicals, etc.), spare parts, and capital equipment, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and supplier capabilities.
- Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules with vendors.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Manage supplier performance and build strong, long-term relationships.
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production and logistics teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
- Collaborate with the engineering and technical teams to understand material specifications and technical requirements.
