Chief Legal Officer (CLO) - Insurance (Nagpur)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Legal Officer (CLO) with a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree and 3-5 years of relevant experience to join our team in Nagpur. The CLO will be responsible for overseeing all legal affairs of the company, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations, and providing strategic legal advice. This role requires a strong understanding of corporate law, insurance regulations, and data privacy, coupled with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide expert legal counsel on a wide range of corporate and commercial matters, with a focus on the insurance sector.
* Ensure compliance with all applicable Indian laws and regulations, including insurance laws, data protection laws (like GDPR and Indian data privacy bills), and corporate governance norms.
* Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents, contracts, and agreements.
* Manage and oversee all litigation and dispute resolution processes.
* Advise on intellectual property matters and technology-related legal issues, leveraging MCA background for understanding software and data.
* Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to provide legal support and guidance.
* Stay abreast of changes in legislation and regulatory frameworks impacting the insurance industry.
