Commodity Manager at Marico Limited

We are seeking a motivated Commodity Manager with 2-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Thane. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing the procurement of key commodities essential to our FMCG operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commodity markets, supply chain dynamics, and risk management, coupled with an M.Sc degree.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze market trends, price fluctuations, and supply/demand dynamics for assigned commodities.

Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and supply continuity.

Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and service levels.

Manage supplier relationships, ensuring performance meets company standards and driving continuous improvement.

Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production and logistics teams to optimize stock.

Identify and mitigate risks within the supply chain, developing contingency plans.

Prepare regular reports on commodity performance, market insights, and cost-saving initiatives.
