Export / Import Manager for LLB Graduates (3-5 Yrs)

Role Summary:
Bata India Limited is seeking a diligent and legally astute Export / Import Manager with 3-5 years of experience, preferably with an LLB degree, to oversee and streamline our international trade operations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade law, leveraging their legal background to ensure compliance and mitigate risks. This role is crucial for managing the smooth flow of goods across borders, contributing to the company's global supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the export and import process, including documentation, customs clearance, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Indian and international trade laws, regulations, and policies, utilizing LLB knowledge to interpret and apply them.
- Liaise with customs authorities, shipping lines, freight forwarders, and other external agencies to facilitate smooth transit of goods.
- Prepare and review import/export contracts, ensuring legal soundness and adherence to company policies.
- Identify and mitigate potential legal and operational risks associated with international trade.
- Negotiate terms and rates with logistics providers and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate records of all import/export activities and prepare reports for management.
- Stay updated on changes in trade regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements that may impact the company's operations.
- Coordinate with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and finance to ensure seamless execution of international transactions.
