Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Crime professional with 3-4 years of experience and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree to join our team in Ahmedabad. This role will be instrumental in identifying, investigating, and mitigating financial crime risks within the Oil & Gas sector. You will leverage your legal expertise and analytical skills to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and protect the company from financial crime threats.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough investigations into potential financial crime activities, including fraud, money laundering, and corruption, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze complex financial data and transaction patterns to detect anomalies and red flags indicative of financial crime.
- Prepare detailed investigation reports, summarizing findings, evidence, and recommendations for remediation and disciplinary action.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and policies to prevent and detect financial crime.
- Stay abreast of evolving financial crime typologies, regulatory changes (e.g., PMLA, FEMA), and best practices within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, compliance, audit, and operations teams, to address financial crime risks.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees on financial crime prevention and detection.
- Support external audits and regulatory inquiries related to financial crime.
- Utilize legal knowledge gained from an LLM to interpret and apply relevant laws and regulations to financial crime scenarios.
