Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Chief Officer / Mate with 2-3 years of experience to join our team in Kochi. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations of our fishing vessels and aquaculture facilities, ensuring efficient and safe working practices. This role requires a graduate with a keen interest in the fisheries sector and a willingness to learn and grow within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Officer / Mate in planning and executing fishing operations.
- Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and protocols on board vessels and at facilities.
- Monitor and maintain fishing gear, equipment, and vessel machinery.
- Participate in inventory management of catch, supplies, and equipment.
- Coordinate with crew members to ensure smooth operations.
- Assist in data collection related to catch, environmental conditions, and operational efficiency.
- Support in the maintenance and upkeep of aquaculture ponds and related infrastructure.
- Learn and implement best practices in sustainable fishing and aquaculture.
