Marine Engineer for LLM Graduates (2-4 Yrs)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marine Engineer with 2-4 years of experience and an LLM degree to join our dynamic team in Vishakhapatnam. This role will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the safe and efficient operation of marine assets critical to our agrochemical supply chain. The ideal candidate will leverage their legal acumen and engineering background to ensure compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of marine vessels, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Conduct legal and regulatory compliance checks for all maritime activities, including chartering, cargo handling, and port operations.
- Review and interpret maritime laws, conventions, and local regulations impacting the company's operations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for marine-related activities, incorporating legal requirements.
- Manage vessel maintenance schedules and ensure all engineering operations comply with statutory requirements and class society rules.
- Investigate and report on any marine incidents or accidents, providing legal and technical assessments.
- Liaise with port authorities, regulatory bodies, and legal counsel on maritime matters.
- Support the procurement and contracting processes for marine services and equipment, ensuring legal soundness.
- Monitor fuel consumption and optimize operational efficiency from an engineering and cost perspective.
- Maintain accurate records of vessel performance, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
