Marine / Maritime Pilot - Furniture & Furnishing Sector (1-3 Yrs)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and analytical Marine / Maritime Pilot with 1-3 years of experience and an MBA/PGDM to join our dynamic team in Nagpur. This role involves optimizing logistics and supply chain operations within the furniture and furnishing sector, focusing on efficient movement of goods from origin to destination, ensuring timely deliveries and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will leverage their business acumen and understanding of maritime/logistics principles to enhance our operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze and optimize shipping routes and transportation modes for inbound and outbound logistics, considering cost, time, and efficiency.
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure smooth transit of goods.
- Manage documentation related to import/export, including bills of lading, customs declarations, and permits.
- Monitor vessel movements and cargo status, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, such as delays, damages, or regulatory issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce shipping costs and improve delivery timelines.
- Collaborate with internal teams (procurement, warehouse, sales) to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
- Stay updated on maritime regulations, trade policies, and industry best practices.
- Prepare reports on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement.
