Job Description

Role Summary:
We are seeking a diligent and proactive Safety Operations professional with 2-3 years of experience to join our team in Thiruvananthapuram. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing and overseeing safety protocols within our pulp and paper manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and promoting a culture of safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development, implementation, and enforcement of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of the plant, machinery, and work areas to identify potential hazards.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations, including fire safety, occupational health, and environmental protection.
- Organize and conduct safety training programs for employees at all levels.
- Maintain safety records, logs, and documentation.
- Coordinate with internal departments and external agencies on safety-related matters.
- Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification exercises.
- Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
- Stay updated on the latest safety standards and best practices in the pulp and paper industry.
