We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional for the "Upstream - Other" role within our Iron & Steel operations in Kochi. This position is ideal for an individual with a postgraduate degree and 3-5 years of experience in upstream processes, operations, or related fields within the heavy industry sector. The successful candidate will contribute to optimizing our raw material sourcing, preparation, and initial processing stages, ensuring efficiency and quality in our iron and steel production.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage various aspects of upstream operations, including raw material assessment, procurement liaison, and initial processing.
- Analyze and report on the quality and consistency of incoming raw materials (iron ore, coal, fluxes) and their impact on downstream processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of upstream activities.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of raw materials.
- Monitor technological advancements and best practices in upstream iron and steel production and recommend adoption where appropriate.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards in all upstream activities.
- Troubleshoot operational issues within the upstream segment and propose effective solutions.
- Prepare performance reports and present findings to senior management.
- Work closely with R&D teams on material characterization and process improvement initiatives.
