Category Head (Defence & Aerospace) - Mangalore

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Head to oversee procurement and strategic sourcing within the Defence & Aerospace sector. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services vital to our operations in Mangalore. The ideal candidate will leverage their M.Sc education and 3-5 years of experience to drive category strategies and supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement category strategies for direct and indirect materials within the Defence & Aerospace domain.

Conduct market research and supplier analysis to identify potential vendors and opportunities for cost savings.

Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including sourcing, negotiation, contract management, and supplier performance monitoring.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., R&D, Engineering, Production) to understand their requirements and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical procurement practices.

Analyze spend data and identify areas for optimization and strategic sourcing initiatives.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration and ensure supply chain resilience.
