Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) (3-4 Yrs Experience)

Role Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) with 3-4 years of experience and a strong legal background (LLM) to join our finance team in Kochi. The CAO will play a crucial role in overseeing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial insights within the power industry. This role requires a unique blend of legal acumen and financial expertise to navigate complex accounting and regulatory landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), Companies Act, and other relevant financial and legal regulations.
- Interpret and apply complex legal and regulatory frameworks to accounting policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and other financial disclosures.
- Support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Collaborate with legal counsel on matters related to financial contracts, compliance, and risk management.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls and operational efficiency.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and corporate governance relevant to the power sector.
