Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and design-oriented individual with a Bachelor's degree in Design (B.Des) to join our Urban Transport division as a Commodity Dealer. In this entry-level role, you will gain hands-on experience in managing and optimizing the procurement and trading of commodities essential for urban transport projects. You will work closely with experienced professionals to understand market dynamics, contribute to strategic sourcing, and support the efficient flow of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement process for various commodities used in urban transport infrastructure and operations.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate commodity prices.
- Support in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers under the guidance of senior dealers.
- Monitor commodity market trends, news, and price fluctuations that may impact procurement strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of commodity transactions, inventory, and supplier performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to forecast commodity needs.
- Contribute to developing innovative solutions for commodity sourcing and cost optimization, leveraging design thinking principles.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all procurement activities.
