Contract Investment Banking Associate (2-3 Yrs)

Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Investment Banking Associate with a Doctorate/PhD to join our dynamic finance team in Pune. This role will support the strategic financial operations of IndiGo, focusing on complex financial modeling, valuation, and transaction execution within the aviation sector. The ideal candidate will possess a strong academic background and 2-3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating a keen understanding of financial markets and corporate finance principles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support mergers, acquisitions, capital raising, and other strategic transactions.
- Conduct in-depth industry and company-specific research to identify investment opportunities and assess market trends within the aviation industry.
- Prepare presentations, pitch books, and other client-facing materials for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Assist in the valuation of companies and assets using various methodologies (DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions).
- Support the due diligence process for potential transactions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Collaborate with internal teams (legal, operations, strategy) to ensure successful transaction closure.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the aviation sector.
- Contribute to the development of long-term financial strategies and corporate planning initiatives.
