Fleet / Transport Manager - Metals & Mining Sector (3-4 Yrs)

We are seeking an experienced and diligent Fleet / Transport Manager with 3-4 years of relevant experience to join our esteemed organization in the Metals & Mining sector. The ideal candidate will hold a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree and possess a strong understanding of fleet operations, logistics, and supply chain management within an industrial context. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe movement of resources and personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the daily operations of the company's fleet, including vehicles, heavy machinery, and specialized transport equipment.

Develop and implement efficient transport schedules and routes to optimize delivery times and minimize costs.

Manage fleet maintenance, ensuring all vehicles are in good working condition and comply with safety regulations and company policies.

Coordinate with various departments, including mining operations, procurement, and site management, to understand and meet their transport needs.

Maintain accurate records of fleet performance, fuel consumption, maintenance, and driver behavior.

Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation laws, regulations, and safety standards in India.

Manage driver schedules, performance, and training to ensure a skilled and motivated workforce.

Implement and monitor safety protocols for all transport operations, conducting regular risk assessments.

Utilize fleet management software and technology to enhance efficiency and data analysis.
