Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Harbour Master to oversee port operations and ensure the safe and efficient movement of vessels within the Delhi region. This role is ideal for a professional with 2-4 years of experience and a postgraduate degree, looking to make a significant impact in maritime administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate all vessel traffic within the port limits, ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.
Develop and implement port traffic management plans and procedures.
Oversee pilotage, berthing, and unberthing operations.
Respond to and manage maritime incidents, emergencies, and pollution events.
Liaise with stakeholders including shipping lines, pilots, port authorities, and emergency services.
Ensure adherence to international and national maritime regulations (e.g., SOLAS, ISPS Code).
Maintain port infrastructure and navigational aids.
Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
