Merchandise / Retail Planner - MNC (Bhubaneshwar) - 2-3 Yrs

Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Merchandise / Retail Planner with 2-3 years of experience to join our dynamic team in Bhubaneshwar. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of retail planning principles and a legal background (LLB) to navigate contractual and compliance aspects of merchandising. You will be responsible for optimizing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and ensuring the right products are available at the right time and place to meet customer needs and drive sales within our fitness and wellness retail operations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute merchandise plans aligned with sales forecasts and business objectives.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and risks.
- Manage inventory levels across all retail channels to minimize stockouts and overstock situations.
- Collaborate with the buying and merchandising teams to select product assortments and negotiate terms.
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, including sales, inventory, and margin analysis.
- Work closely with store operations and supply chain teams to ensure efficient product flow.
- Review and interpret vendor contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance and managing legal aspects related to product sourcing and retail partnerships.
- Contribute to the development of promotional plans and pricing strategies.
- Optimize product placement and visual merchandising in retail stores.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in retail planning and merchandising.
