2nd Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated 2nd Engineer to join our operational team. The 2nd Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in the overall operation, maintenance, and repair of all machinery and equipment on board our mining vessels and associated facilities. This role requires a strong understanding of marine engineering principles and a commitment to safety and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer in managing the engine room operations.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of main engines, auxiliary machinery, and deck equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement.
- Supervise and train junior engineering staff.
- Respond to emergencies and breakdowns efficiently.
- Maintain detailed logs and reports of all engineering activities.
