Role Summary: We are seeking an experienced Commodity Dealer with a legal background (LLB) to join our team in Mangalore. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in commodity trading, with a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory frameworks governing trade in the ports and shipping industry. You will be responsible for managing commodity transactions, ensuring compliance, and optimizing trading strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute commodity trades in alignment with company policies and market conditions.
- Analyze market trends, news, and data to identify trading opportunities and mitigate risks.
- Ensure all commodity transactions adhere to relevant Indian and international trade laws and regulations, leveraging your LLB expertise.
- Liaise with legal counsel, compliance officers, and other stakeholders to ensure legal soundness of all trading activities.
- Manage contracts, negotiate terms, and resolve any legal disputes arising from commodity dealings.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics and shipping departments to ensure timely delivery and minimize costs.
- Prepare regular reports on trading performance, market analysis, and risk assessments for senior management.
- Stay updated on changes in commodity markets, shipping regulations, and trade policies.
