Able Seaman (AB)

Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Able Seaman (AB) to join our maritime operations team. The Able Seaman will be responsible for performing a variety of duties on board a vessel, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the ship, and maintaining its overall condition. This role requires a strong understanding of maritime safety procedures and the ability to work effectively as part of a crew.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assisting in the navigation and steering of the vessel.
* Performing routine maintenance and repairs on deck equipment, rigging, and hull.
* Participating in cargo operations, including loading, unloading, and securing.
* Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the deck and living quarters.
* Standing watch as required, monitoring ship's progress and environmental conditions.
* Assisting in emergency situations, such as fire-fighting and man overboard drills.
* Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, including SOLAS and ISM Code.
* Operating and maintaining deck machinery, such as winches, cranes, and capstans.
* Assisting with mooring and unmooring operations.
* Performing lookout duties and reporting any hazards or changes in conditions.
* Maintaining accurate logs and records of daily activities and observations.
