Able Seaman (AB)

Role Summary: The Able Seaman (AB) will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of maritime assets and infrastructure supporting the company's telecommunications network deployment and maintenance. This role requires a blend of maritime expertise and an understanding of the operational needs within a corporate environment, particularly in the telecom/ISP sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain vessels and barges used for deploying or servicing submarine cables and other underwater telecom infrastructure.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on deck machinery, rigging, and safety equipment.
• Assist in the loading, unloading, and securing of equipment and materials.
• Ensure compliance with all maritime regulations, safety protocols, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with technical teams to facilitate the installation and repair of subsea communication lines.
• Maintain accurate logs and reports on vessel operations, maintenance, and cargo.
• Respond to emergencies and assist in rescue operations as needed.
