Role Summary:
RVNL is seeking a qualified and experienced Able Seaman (AB) to join our marine operations team, supporting our diverse railway infrastructure projects that may involve marine components or require specialized maritime expertise. The Able Seaman will be responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of vessels and related equipment, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform duties as directed by the Master or Officer in Charge, including watchkeeping, navigation, and cargo handling.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of vessel equipment, including engines, deck machinery, and safety apparatus.
- Ensure the cleanliness and good order of the vessel, including accommodation and working areas.
- Participate in emergency drills and respond effectively to all emergency situations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including SOLAS, ISPS Code, and company-specific safety procedures.
- Assist in mooring and unmooring operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vessel and report any defects or potential hazards.
