Job Description
Role Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting & Taxation professional with 4-6 years of experience and an M.Sc degree to join our finance team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting and taxation functions, ensuring compliance with Indian tax laws and company policies, and contributing to the overall financial health of our Animation & VFX operations in India.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, TDS returns, and other applicable tax filings accurately and on time.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, balance sheets, and profit and loss accounts in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant direct and indirect tax regulations, including corporate tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Conduct tax research and provide insights on tax implications of business decisions and new regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate financial reporting.
- Stay updated with the latest changes in accounting standards and tax laws in India.
