Accounts Receivable Manager

AeroDefense Solutions is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee all aspects of the accounts receivable function. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the AR team, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, cash application, collections, and revenue recognition. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and a thorough understanding of accounting principles within the defence and aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and mentor the accounts receivable team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Oversee the entire AR cycle, including invoicing, cash application, credit memos, and adjustments.
• Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize aging receivables and bad debt.
• Ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare and analyze AR aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and other relevant financial statements.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Finance departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure smooth customer transactions.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
• Continuously evaluate and improve AR processes and systems for efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Proven experience in the defence and aerospace industry is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, revenue recognition principles, and collections best practices.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
