Job Description
Role Summary: The Actuarial Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing actuarial models and strategies to support the company's financial planning, risk management, and product development initiatives within the education technology sector. This role requires a strong understanding of actuarial principles, data analysis, and the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance actuarial models for pricing, reserving, and financial forecasting.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, risks, and opportunities related to student enrollment, retention, and product performance.
- Collaborate with product development teams to assess the financial viability and risk profile of new educational offerings.
- Support the finance and risk management departments in regulatory compliance and capital adequacy assessments.
- Prepare actuarial reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in actuarial science and ed-tech.
- Mentor and guide junior actuarial staff.
