Role Summary:
Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aerospace Engineer to join our dynamic team in India. This role will involve applying aerospace engineering principles to optimize and innovate within our oil and gas operations, focusing on areas such as structural integrity, fluid dynamics, and advanced materials. The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, analysis, and implementation of solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability in our upstream and downstream activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and design aerospace-related systems and components for application in the oil and gas sector, including but not limited to, drone-based inspection systems, specialized lifting equipment, and high-pressure fluid handling systems.
- Conduct structural analysis and integrity assessments using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other simulation tools.
- Perform aerodynamic and hydrodynamic simulations to optimize fluid flow and reduce drag in relevant processes.
- Research and evaluate advanced materials for use in corrosive or extreme environments typical of the oil and gas industry.
- Develop and implement testing protocols for new designs and modifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, geologists, and project managers, to ensure successful project execution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues related to aerospace-derived systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest technological advancements in aerospace engineering and their potential applications in the energy sector.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and stakeholders.
