Airport Duty Manager

Role Summary:
The Airport Duty Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all day-to-day airport operations to ensure safety, security, efficiency, and compliance with all regulations. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment within the defence and aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate all airport operational activities, including airside operations, terminal management, and ground handling.

Ensure strict adherence to safety and security protocols, including aviation security regulations and emergency procedures.

Manage and direct airport staff, including air traffic controllers, security personnel, and ground crew, to ensure smooth operations.

Monitor flight schedules and manage any disruptions or delays, coordinating with airlines, air traffic control, and other stakeholders.

Respond to and manage emergency situations and incidents, ensuring swift and effective resolution.

Oversee the maintenance and operational readiness of airport infrastructure and equipment.

Liaise with regulatory bodies, defence agencies, and other government departments to ensure compliance.

Prepare operational reports and analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement.

Manage resources effectively, including staffing, equipment, and budget, to optimize operational efficiency.
