Job Description
Role Summary: The Allied Health Manager will oversee and coordinate the operations of various allied health departments within the hospital, ensuring high-quality patient care, efficient resource management, and adherence to regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and a deep understanding of allied health services.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the daily operations of all allied health departments, including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, dietetics, medical imaging, and laboratory services.
Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.
Manage departmental budgets, including staffing, equipment, and supplies, to ensure cost-effectiveness.
Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate performance of allied health staff.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
Oversee the procurement and maintenance of equipment and supplies for allied health departments.
Monitor patient satisfaction and implement strategies to enhance the patient experience.
Stay abreast of advancements in allied health practices and technologies.
