Anti-Money Laundering Analyst

Role Summary: The Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Analyst will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant anti-money laundering regulations and internal policies within the Gems and Jewellery sector. This role requires a keen understanding of financial crime risks specific to the industry and the ability to implement and monitor robust AML controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement AML policies and procedures tailored to the Gems and Jewellery industry.

Conduct Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) for new and existing clients, with a focus on high-risk transactions and customer profiles.

Monitor transactions for suspicious activities and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) as required.

Investigate potential money laundering and terrorist financing risks associated with the company's operations.

Stay updated on evolving AML regulations, typologies, and best practices in the Indian context.

Conduct AML risk assessments and identify areas for improvement in controls.

Provide training and awareness programs to employees on AML compliance.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Operations) to ensure effective AML program implementation.

Maintain accurate records of AML-related activities and investigations.
