Role Summary:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Application Engineer to join our global technology team. The Application Engineer will be responsible for supporting, developing, and maintaining the firm's critical legal technology applications. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of the legal industry's unique technology needs. You will work closely with legal professionals, IT infrastructure teams, and software vendors to ensure the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our application suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for a variety of legal technology applications, including document management systems, e-discovery platforms, practice management software, and collaboration tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent solutions.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, understand workflows, and translate them into technical specifications for application enhancements and new implementations.
- Develop and maintain application integrations, APIs, and custom scripts to automate processes and improve data flow.
- Participate in the design, testing, and deployment of new application features and upgrades.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including user guides, support procedures, and system architecture diagrams.
- Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices relevant to legal technology.
- Work with vendors to manage software licenses, support contracts, and product roadmaps.
