Application Security Engineer

Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Application Security Engineer to join our growing team in India. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating security vulnerabilities within our software applications and development lifecycle. You will work closely with development teams to ensure that security is integrated from the design phase through to deployment and maintenance, safeguarding sensitive clinical research data.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans on web and mobile applications.
- Review application source code for security flaws and provide remediation recommendations.
- Develop and implement secure coding guidelines and best practices for development teams.
- Integrate security tools and processes into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous security monitoring.
- Investigate and respond to security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and IT operations, to address security risks.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigation techniques.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of security policies and procedures.
- Provide security awareness training to development teams.
