Assembly Line Operator

Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Assembly Line Operator with a Bachelor of Design (B.Des) degree and 6 years of experience to join our manufacturing facility in Pune. The ideal candidate will leverage their design thinking and understanding of product aesthetics and functionality to contribute to the efficient and high-quality assembly of our infrastructure components and transport solutions. This role requires a unique blend of creative problem-solving and hands-on operational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage assembly line operations, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
- Interpret design blueprints, technical drawings, and B.Des related documentation for product assembly.
- Implement and refine assembly processes to optimize efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality, drawing upon design principles.
- Conduct quality checks at various stages of the assembly process, identifying and rectifying design-related defects.
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to provide feedback on manufacturability and suggest design improvements.
- Operate and maintain assembly equipment and tools, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor junior assembly line staff on best practices and design-conscious assembly techniques.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports, highlighting any design-related challenges or successes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, applying a design thinking approach to problem-solving on the assembly line.
