Job Description
Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Asset Manager with 1-3 years of experience and a Master's degree to oversee and manage our organization's assets. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient utilization, maintenance, and safeguarding of all physical and intangible assets within our NGO. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and a passion for supporting our mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain a comprehensive and accurate inventory of all organizational assets, including their location, condition, and value.
Develop and implement asset management policies and procedures to ensure compliance and optimize asset utilization.
Conduct regular asset audits and physical verification to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
Track asset lifecycle, including acquisition, deployment, maintenance, and disposal, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to manage asset budgets and procurement processes.
Monitor asset performance and identify opportunities for improvement or replacement.
Ensure all assets are properly insured and that insurance claims are managed effectively.
Prepare regular reports on asset status, performance, and financial implications for senior management.
Support the implementation and use of asset management software or systems.
