Assignment Editor

Role Summary: The Assignment Editor will be responsible for managing and coordinating editorial assignments, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality content for our aviation-focused publications and internal communications. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and a keen understanding of the aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assigning and tracking editorial tasks to writers, editors, and other content creators.
• Developing and maintaining editorial calendars and schedules.
• Liaising with different departments (e.g., marketing, operations, safety) to gather information and ensure content accuracy.
• Reviewing content for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to style guides.
• Managing content workflows and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Identifying potential story ideas and assigning them to appropriate team members.
• Collaborating with photographers and graphic designers to ensure visual elements complement the written content.
• Maintaining a database of content and assignments.
