Assistant Harbour Master (Ahmedabad)

Role Summary: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Harbour Master with 1-2 years of experience and an M.A. degree to support the efficient and safe operations of our port facilities in Ahmedabad. This role involves assisting the Harbour Master in managing vessel traffic, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and overseeing port security. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of maritime law, logistics, and safety protocols, with a willingness to learn and grow within a large organization.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Harbour Master in planning and coordinating vessel arrivals, departures, and movements within the port.
- Monitor vessel traffic and ensure adherence to navigational rules and safety procedures.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of port regulations and international maritime conventions.
- Participate in safety inspections and risk assessments of port infrastructure and operations.
- Maintain accurate records of port activities, including vessel logs, cargo movements, and incident reports.
- Liaise with port authorities, shipping agents, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth port operations.
- Assist in emergency response planning and execution for any maritime incidents.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of port operational procedures.
- Undertake administrative tasks related to port management as assigned.
