Role Summary:
Reliance Retail is seeking a highly analytical and strategically minded individual with a Master of Laws (LLM) degree to join our Beauty & Personal Care division in Pune. This role will focus on navigating the complex legal and regulatory landscape of the beauty and personal care sector within India, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the strategic growth of our brands. You will be instrumental in shaping our legal framework for product development, marketing, and distribution, with a keen eye on intellectual property and consumer protection laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal counsel on all matters pertaining to the Beauty & Personal Care sector, including product safety, labeling, advertising, and claims substantiation.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, distributors, and brand partners, ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor and advise on evolving regulatory requirements from bodies such as the FSSAI, BIS, and other relevant authorities impacting the beauty and personal care industry in India.
- Manage and protect intellectual property assets, including trademarks, patents, and copyrights, related to our beauty and personal care products and brands.
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on emerging legal trends and their potential impact on the business.
- Develop and implement compliance programs and training for relevant departments to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Assist in due diligence for potential acquisitions or partnerships within the beauty and personal care space.
- Advise on consumer protection laws and ensure all marketing and promotional activities are compliant and ethical.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, R&D, Supply Chain, and Sales, to provide legal guidance and support.
